Strong I Right 22 Lead Mike is an attack on the heart of the defense. Vs. 4-3 and 3-4 the Center and the left Guard have a quick double on the Nose, from there the Center rubs off and works to seal the Wil Backer. The Right Guard drive blocks the LDT (Block him where he wants to go and let the Full and Half Backs find the hole). The FB leads up on the Mike and the HB cuts off of that block. X runs the corner off, while Z has a cross field block on the near Safety.
Vs. the 4-6 Bear defense the blocks are slightly different. Since the Center and both Guards are covered, they have to get their defenders shoulders turned away from the play side B gap. The play side Tackle has a wrap around block on the LE, while the TE has a drive block on the Sam. The FB leads up on the Mike and the ball carrier has to make a play on the SS.
